Product Description |
Combining stylish looks with power sport timing and heart rate monitoring features, this mid-sized Timex Ironman Triathlon watch (model T59751) can be worn by both men and women. It features a chest strap heart rate monitor, easily accessible function buttons, and Timex's comfortable doubleshot polyurethane strap. For integrating heart rate monitoring into your training, this watch enables you to track your avareage heart rate and pre-set target heart rate zones with data for time spent within that zone and alarms. It can also display data for calories burned and offers a recovery timer that measures your heart rate after a timed recovery during or after your workout. Sport timing features include: - 100-hour chronograph with lap and split, either in large digits
- 30-lap memory with average heart rate per laps
- 100-hour, 3-mode countdown timer
- Alarm with 5-minute backup
- Month/day/date display with 12/24-hour time
- 2-year battery life
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet)--suitable for swimming but not for diving. All Timex heart rate monitor sensors have batteries that can be replaced by consumers without requiring them to be returned to the manufacturer. |

A HRM that does what you need, without unecessary frills

| This Heart Rate Monitor works very well, and does everything 99% of us need. I like the design, the user interface, and the overall operation. For what you get, the price is superb. You can spend hundreds $s more, but you'll get only marginally more performance. |
Nice, convenient, functional

Just some additional comments not mentioned by other reviewers. The strap constitutes one whole unit with the device. This creates a cool look and adds robustness. On the downside, no more changing the strap, but this need is highly unlikely. Also the small additional strap (around the main one - it has some special name, but I don't know it) is conveniently fixed at the free end of the main strap and thus never moves during a workout.
However, be aware that the watch is rather small (though not thin). It looks larger on the image. This is quite fine for ladies or for somewhat skinny guys like me, but might look too small for a "real man".
From the functional side it is worth to mention the presence of both '+' and '-' buttons in any setup or review mode. Indispensable when you need to reduce, let's say, the alarm time by 5 minutes. |
Great HR monitor!

| This is a great HR monitor -- the midsized watch unit is smaller than many competitor's models, making it much more comfortable to wear. The software is intuitive. In addition to the standard features you would expect (average HR, minimum HR, time in zone, calorie count for workout), the unit ALSO records peak HR, average heart rate for splits/laps along with split/lap time, and calculates calorie use for all effort levels (vs. some Polar HR monitors which only calculate calorie use at higher activity levels). All at a very affordable price. |

| i love this hrm for its size and functions. It has several display choices, which is really nice. you can see hr and time simultaneously which many other smaller hrms do not have. it is easy to use and works consistently. |
Timex Heart Rate Monitor T5C411

| Frankly speaking I bought this watch because it is the most good looking heart rate monitor on the market. I have read some bad reviews about Timex heart rate monitors but wanted to give them a chance based on the good experience that I had with the brand. It was surprising to see how easy it is to use the heart rate monitor. This watch has a wide display and you can set up the display mode in three different ways. All in all a great product, I highly recommend it. |
