Don’t buy the Ironman heartrate monitor. I have had lots of problems with mine. Its very frustrating to use.

Question – Is a chest strap necessary for the timex heart Monitor? I am looking for a
simple, uncomplicated display that is easy to set with possibly only an alarm for upper and lower limits. No other bells and whistles.

I just bought this watch and I’m having difficulty with the pod data. It takes a while to recognise the pod and then works for a while then suddenly just stops and I get a notice of “No pod Data”. I changed the battery just in case but it does not seem to help. Maybe it’s just a bad pod?
